Brief description of the tour:

A whimsical interweaving of a modern metropolis and the unique flavor of an oriental city awaits you in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan and the largest metropolis in Central Asia.

Ancient Khorezm occupies a special place in human history as the hearth of world civilization and one of the important centers on the Silk Road. One of them – Khiva – is declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The uniqueness of this place lies in the fact that it is one of the museum cities in which practically all historical buildings have been preserved. “Open Air Museum”.

Bukhara – Fairy Tale of the East. The most ancient city of Central Asia, which is 2.5 thousand years old. Bukhara is a rare combination of monuments of different epochs, characterizing the development of architecture for 25 centuries. The historical part of the city is included by UNESCO in the organization of cities included in the list of World Heritage of Humanity.

The shining Lake Aidarkul is a sultry desert of Kyzyl-Kum, called geographical wonders. The area of the lake is 3,000 square kilometers.

It is a great place for both history and eco-travel.

Samarkand is the Pearl of the East, one of the oldest cities in the world, the center of the historical region and state of Sogdiana. For more than two thousand years, the city was a key point in the great Silk Road between China and Europe, as well as one of the main scientific centers of the medieval East.

In Samarkand you will have a unique opportunity to plunge into centuries-old traditions and cultural customs of the Samarkand people, which will not leave you indifferent!

The Tour Programm

Arrival at the airport of Tashkent city. Our representative will meet you in the VIP-hall of the airport with a sign “AL-SAMARKAND”. The representative and driver will follow you to the hotel where they will help you to be accommodated. Then, we will give you the necessary time for rest and in the evening we will invite you to have dinner at “Nawwat” restaurant. The first night we spend in Tashkent.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will go on a sightseeing tour of Tashkent accompanied by a driver and a professional guide. We will visit historically significant places of the city: the square “Friendship of Peoples”, the State Museum of Temurid History and the Museum of Applied Arts.

Then we will have lunch in a cozy restaurant “Caravan”. The second half of the day will be devoted to acquaintance with the national culture and life: visiting Tashkent market “Chorsu”, immersion in the diversity and originality of the oriental bazaar; visiting Madrasah “Abdulkasym” (XVII century), Mausoleum “Kaffal Shashi” (XVI century), Madrasah “Barak-Khan” (XVI century) and the largest Madrasah “Kukeldash” (XVI century) will allow us to study the culture of the country and immerse ourselves in its history. The 2nd day of the tour called “Fairy Tale of the East” we will finish with a festive dinner with national dances with live music in the restaurant “Old Tashkent”. We spend the second night in Tashkent.

Early breakfast at the hotel. Then drive to Tashkent airport for the morning flight to Urgench city, Khorezm region. The flight from Tashkent to Urgench takes 1 hour and 40 minutes. Upon arrival we will be met by a driver and a professional guide.

Khorezm region occupies a special place in human history as the center of the hearth of world civilization and one of the important centers on the silk road. One of the cities of ancient Khorezm is Khiva, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Immediately upon arrival we will head to the city of Khiva. Travel time will be 30 minutes. Then will be followed by accommodation in the hotel, rest time and delicious lunch in the restaurant “Ichan-Kala”. In the afternoon we go to explore the museum city of Khiva.

We will visit, surrounded by powerful walls, the inner historical city of Khiva – architectural complex “Ichan-Kala” (XII-XIX cc.), which includes:

A bright day in Khiva ended with our dinner in the second residence of Khana (XIX century) – “TOZA-BOG”. The third night of the trip will take place in Khiva.

After breakfast at the hotel we go on a tour with a professional guide. The historical part of the city is so beautiful and must-see that we will cover most of the way on foot.

The obligatory places to visit: Citadel “Ark”, masterpiece of world architecture – Samanid Mausoleum (X century), Water Museum “Chashma-Ayub” (XIV century) and Mosque “Bolo-Hauz” (XVIII century).

Also, upon request, we can familiarize ourselves with one of the ancient national entertainment – cockfights and ram fights. Then we will stop for a rest and refreshment in the Khan’s Chaikhana “Lyabi-Hauz”, founded in XVI-XVII centuries.

In the afternoon we will continue walking route around the ancient city of Bukhara: we will visit Minaret “Kalyan” (XII-XIV cc.), Mosque “Kalyan” (XV c.), Madrasah “Miri-Arab” (XVI c.). Also, we will go by car outside the city to get acquainted with the Mausoleum of Bahouddin Naqshbandi (XVI-XIX cc.), Summer Residence of Emir “Sitorai-Mokhi-Khosa” (XIX c.), and Mausoleum “Chor-Bakr” (X c.). We will finish the rich 5th day of the trip with dinner in Madrasah “MADARIHON”. Overnight in Bukhara.

After an early breakfast we leave for a small town with ancient Chinese – Nurata (170 km. by car). Upon arrival in Nurata we stop for the night in the Yurt Camp, with the purpose of plunging into the mysterious world of the desert (a camp specially equipped to receive guests, and having everything necessary for a comfortable stay and overnight stay).

Looking forward to camel riding, swimming in the clear lake, picnic with fishermen. We have dinner around the campfire according to customs and to the songs of shepherds. The shining Aydarkul Lake evokes the sultry Kyzylkum desert, which is called a geographical miracle. The area of the lake is 3000 square kilometers. It is a great place for both historical and ecological travel.

The first half of the day we will spend at Aidarkul Lake: we will have breakfast in the nature, enjoy swimming in the lake and in free time, have lunch at local fishermen with freshly caught fish of different varieties.

And in the afternoon we will go on our way – to Samarkand. Travel time to Samarkand will be 2 hours 40 minutes along the picturesque roads of Uzbekistan (165 km.). Upon arrival in fabulous Samarkand we will be accommodated, have a rest and dinner in the restaurant “SANGIZAR”. We spend the seventh night in Samarkand.

After breakfast at the hotel we go on a city tour with a professional guide. We will visit the Mausoleum “Gur-Emir” (XIV-XV cc.) and the square “Registan”, including – Madrasah “Ulugbek” (XV c.), Madrasah “Sher-Dor” (XVII c.), Madrasah “Tilla-Kori” (XVII c.). Then we will have lunch in Samarkand Chaikhana where we will taste real Uzbek pilaf. In addition, if we wish, we will be able to take part in the preparation of pilaf, the recipe of which has existed since ancient times.

In the afternoon we continue exploring the incredible city of Samarkand and visit the Ulugbek Observatory (XIV c), the mysterious Tomb of St. Daniel, the Shahi Zinda Ensemble (XIV) and the Afrasiab Mound, which was created before our era. We will finish the 8th day of sunset with dinner at the restaurant “Samarkand”. The night is spent in Samarkand.

We spend the first half of the day in the ancient part of Samarkand exploring the Bibi-Khonum Mausoleum (XIV century) and the Siab Bazaar, the largest and oldest market in the city, with an area of 7 hectares! In the afternoon we go to visit the inhabitants of the mountainous region of Urgut, where we will master the technique of national cooking – shashlyk and lulia kebab.

You will have a unique opportunity to plunge into centuries-old traditions and cultural customs of the Uzbek people, which will not leave you indifferent! If you wish, at night we can spend time in a kishlak, where together with the residents we will cook “Tandyr-kebab” and taste it by the fire to folklore songs and dances.

The final breakfast of our journey will be organized in the park with economic viands, imported farm milk and dairy products. Then transfer will be made to the airport en-route to the next destination.
